This week’s reading is fascinating when it introduces to us how to drawing the audience’s eyes to the video or movie. As mentioned, grasping the viewers’ attention to either a short video or a long movie is not an easy work at all so we have to work out the best techniques to do that. The reading gives information about the six techniques that are essential to draw the audience’s eyes: exposure, focus, movement, color, frame within a frame and words. Obviously, it is not limited to one or two or how many techniques that can be used in a movie but a filmmaker could definitely combine them all together effectively to give the best work.
