Chapter 6 - Tanner McChristian

 Since this chapter talks about lighting, I just wanted to speak on my approach to lighting when it comes to my no-budget projects. More often than not, I'll usually just rely on natural light and practical light sources, whether those sources are the sun, street lights, or lamps and whatnot. For myself, I honestly find doing so makes for a more natural feeling enviornment within the film which can be extremely helpful depending on the kind of story you're trying to tell.

This is the trailer for "The Revenant," which I think is probably the best example of natural light being used for an entire film that you can find in cinema.
