In this blog post I am reflecting upon Chapter 1 and 2, more specifically artists in the film industry.
I have always known that storyboarding was involved in the making of films, but I did not realize how many artists (digital, physical, sets, etc.) are involved HEAVILY in the process. Most films’ big names besides the actors are typically only the directors. I never pay attention to or even hear about the artists involved in the process of the film’s imaginings. Yes their names are in the end credits, but I don’t see them get as much public attention as directors of said films. Maybe certain artists deserve credit that’s been long overdue. This is just a subjective observation, but others online wonder if directors get too much credit for the films they produce. Below this paragraph is an article written by nofilmschool.com.

NoFilmSchool states that the film process is a “collaborative medium” which means that many artists are involved (makeup, SFX, editing, etc.). They also pose the question, “Do directors get too much credit in the filmmaking process?”
